A training-seminar was held for coach-teachers within the framework of the "Playmakers" project, implemented at the AFFA Education and Rehabilitation Center with the joint initiative of UEFA and "Disney" and organized by AFFA.
Idman.biz reports that the opening of the event was made by Farrukh Ismayilov, head of the Mass Football Department of AFFA, and Kifayat Mustafayeva, AFFA's Social Environment Sustainability Manager.
The training process was led by the project's instructors Gulyana Ozcan and Ofelia Gafarova.
The seminar consisted of two parts – theoretical and practical.
In the theoretical part, participants were explained the goals, methodology and application rules of the project's training sessions.
In the practical part, interactive activities were carried out on the field and participants visually tested the "Playmakers" training models used when working with children.
The "Playmakers" project, which operates in 25 centers, including Baku and three regions, will continue until 2028. The main goal of the project is to increase the interest of 5-8 year old girls in football, develop their social and psychological skills, and promote a healthy lifestyle from an early age. The project has been successfully implemented by AFFA since 2022, and during this period, more than 6,000 girls have been introduced to football through the "Playmakers" program.
The "Playmakers" program makes an important social contribution to the development of women's football, the promotion of gender equality and the integration of young girls into sports.
