One of the biggest sensations of the last 117 years in English football has occurred. The club, playing in the lower leagues, eliminated the holder of the English Cup from the tournament for the first time.
Idman.Biz reports that "Macclesfield", playing in the sixth league, defeated Premier League representative "Crystal Palace" 2:1 in the 1/32 final stage, achieving a historic result.
In the match, one of the goals of the winning team was scored by a football player whose profession is a tractor driver, which made the event even more interesting.
Club owner Rob Smethersts made an interesting confession after the historic victory. He stated that he bought "Macclesfield" a few years ago in one of the most emotional moments of his life - after four days of drinking:
"Honestly, I thought we would lose 0:6, 0:7. I had never seen anything like this. This is a special moment for us!"
