Ticket prices for the matches of the FIFA World Cup to be held next year have sharply increased compared to the last World Cup. Sport24.az reports that "The Telegraph" has published information about this.
It is reported that tickets for the opening match now start at $370, and the most expensive ones reach $1,800. For comparison, their prices in Qatar were $55 and $618, respectively.
Tickets for the final to be held in New York next summer start at $2,000, which is 10 times more expensive than the cheapest tickets three years ago, and the average price reaches $3,900.
The vast majority of starting prices exceed several hundred dollars, and the online schedule shows that finding $60 tickets is almost impossible.
Note that the 2026 World Cup will be held in the USA, Canada and Mexico from June 11 to July 19.
