Presidential candidate Mark Siria of the Spanish club "Barcelona" attracted attention with his views on Lionel Messi.
Idman.Biz reports that Siria said that they did not get permission from the football player when answering a question about the placement of a billboard with Messi's image in the city.
According to him, this step is not for commercial purposes and was taken as a sign of respect for the Argentine star.
"No! This is just respect. We did this because people miss him," he noted.
The presidential candidate added that the club wants Messi to return, taking into account the feelings of the fans:
"We want to restore their trust, they think they have been deceived. Go out into the street and ask - who doesn't want Messi to return?"
