The Africa Cup of Nations, held in Morocco, has come to an end. Sport24.az reports that the Senegalese national team has won the tournament for the second time in its history. During the award ceremony, the International Federation of Football Associations (FIFA) presented individual awards to the best players of the tournament.
34-year-old Moroccan Yassine Bounou was chosen as the best goalkeeper of the tournament. He appeared in all seven of his matches, conceding goals in two games, but kept a clean sheet in 5 matches. Senegalese Sadio Mane was chosen as the best player of the competition. The 33-year-old striker scored two goals and two assists in seven games. Moroccan attacking midfielder Brahim Dias became the most productive player of the Africa Cup of Nations, scoring five goals in seven matches.
It should be noted that the FIFA Fair Play Award was presented to Morocco.
