"Although there is little left until the end of the season, the point difference with the fourth place is not that big."
This was said by Tarlan Ahmadli, the goalkeeper of "Araz-Nakhchivan", in his interview with futbolinfo.az.
We present that interview.
– In the next round, you will host "Turan Tovuz", which is in the third place. What are your expectations from the match?
– The game against "Turan Tovuz" will be difficult. The opponent is in the upper ranks of the tournament table and is currently in good shape. But we will play at home. If we prepare properly, our chances of winning are quite high.
– "Araz-Nakhchivan" is in the sixth place with 39 points with six rounds left until the end of the season and is five points behind the fourth place. Does it seem difficult to cope with the mission of qualifying for the European Cups?
– Although there is little left until the end of the season, the point difference with the fourth place is not that big. Everything is in our hands. If we collect the maximum result in the upcoming games, qualifying for the European Cups seems real. The main thing is to maintain stability.
– After a heavy defeat to "Qarabağ" (0:6) in the 23rd round, head coach Andrey Demchenko has given you a chance in the goal for four consecutive games. You have been remembered with several saves in these matches. How do you rate your performance?
– Being trusted after the game with "Qarabağ" is a motivation for me. I am glad that I was able to help the team in the last matches. But I always try to do better. I am working on myself and I want to improve my form even more.
– The national team will have a training camp in the summer. If you keep your place in the main squad of "Araz-Nakhchivan", do you believe that Aykhan Abbasov will invite you to the national team?
– In order to attract the attention of the national team's head coach, it is necessary to perform stably and well in the club first. If I can continue this performance, I believe that my chances of getting an invitation to the national team are high. Being called to the national team, like every football player, is one of my main goals.
