An interview with Suleyman Ahmadov, one of the new transfers of "Karvan-Yevlakh," on the futbolinfo.az website.
– First, let's look back at last season. What do you see as the reason for your former team, "Sabail," leaving the Premier League? You probably didn't expect it at the beginning of the season…
– It was very upsetting for me that "Sabail" left the Premier League. I didn't expect it to happen, but things didn't go the way we wanted. We faced very difficult situations, and although we looked for solutions, we couldn't achieve them.
– Do you believe that "Sabail" will return to the Premier League after 1 year? Will the departure of most of the team members prevent this?
– I believe that "Sabail" will return to the Premier League. They are currently assembling an ambitious team. This can be seen from the transfers. No matter how many players leave, there are good players joining the team. I have high hopes that they will become champions in the First League and return to the Premier League.
– Did you have offers from other clubs as well? Why did you prefer the "Karvan-Yevlakh" option?
– When I received an offer from "Karvan-Yevlakh," I thought about it for a while and then agreed and accepted the offer. I believed that the team, newly promoted to the Premier League and composed of good, combative, and eager football players, would achieve something.
– The Yevlakh representative had been away from the Premier League for many years. In your opinion, how will the team perform in its first season back in the top division? What goals have been set for "Karvan-Yevlakh"?
– It is very gratifying that "Karvan-Yevlakh" has returned to the Premier League after many years. A good team is being assembled, consisting of both local and foreign players. I believe that we will play football worthy of the club's name. Our goal is to first try to secure our place in the Premier League, and then fight for better places in the next season.
– We see that "Karvan-Yevlakh" is strengthening not only with foreign players but also with experienced local players. Will this tandem be successful? Is the internal understanding at a good level?
– We have a good, friendly team organized from both foreign and local players. These things are very important for the results to be pleasing.
– The increase in the number of regional clubs in the Premier League also means an increase in the number of fans at the games. Will playing in front of a large number of Yevlakh fans give you extra motivation? What do you have to say to them?
– The increase in the number of regional clubs in the Premier League is very gratifying. Playing in front of a lot of fans is a completely different atmosphere. One of the main reasons I chose "Karvan-Yevlakh" is to play in front of the Yevlakh fans. I believe that we will achieve good results thanks to their support. My message to the fans is that we will join hands and try to make them happy.
