Former head coach of Glasgow Rangers, Aston Villa, and Al-Ettifaq, Steven Gerrard, has explained why he declined to return to the Scottish club.
Idman.Biz, citing The Sun, reports that the specialist said he had a lot to think about in order to make a decision in a short time:
"Actually, everything happened a bit hastily. At that time, my family was in Bahrain, and I had a lot to think about in order to make a decision in a short time. I wasn't completely sure about a few things. If I was going to accept such a big and important challenge, everything had to be perfect, and I had to feel 100 percent ready."
It should be noted that 45-year-old Steven coached Rangers from 2018–2021 and led the team to the championship in 2021.
