Daniel Borimirov, CEO of Levski, the opponent of Sabah in the third qualifying round of the Conference League, made a statement to the press ahead of the return match between the teams. Sport24.az reports that the club official, speaking to Tema Sport, said that he believes his team will leave the return match with Sabah with a favorable result:
"I think we have prepared well for the upcoming game, and I hope that we will play very correctly tactically in tomorrow's match and achieve what we want. No two games are alike. Therefore, the most important thing for us is that the coach's instructions to our players are carried out correctly. I think we will achieve this."
Borimirov also touched upon the absence of striker Mustafa Sangare: "He is a very physically prepared footballer. With his game, he would attract at least two Sabah players to himself. However, I believe that head coach Velasquez has analyzed Sabah well and will make the right decision."
Borimirov added that a positive result in Baku is beneficial not only for Levski's progress, but for Bulgarian football as a whole: "I hope we can do it. You see the level of Bulgarian football, and we need to wake up and start climbing the ladder."
It should be noted that Sabah lost to Levski 0:1 in the first match held in Sofia. The return match will be held on August 14 in Baku.
