Siyasət Əsgərov, the head coach of the Azerbaijani women's national team, has evaluated the test match against Belarus.
"Report" informs that the specialist made a statement to the AFFA press service about this.
He cited the injury of 5 players as one of the main reasons for the defeat:
"We have positions where we experience difficulties when the player playing there gets injured. Another reason is that the season in the Turkish championship, where many of our players play, ended some time ago. The girls who came from there were limited to individual training during this period. The Belarus national team is a high-quality team, most of its players play in the Russian Premier League. The championship continues in both Russia and Belarus. These points could not but affect the game and the result."
Siyasət Əsgərov was satisfied with the condition of the newly recruited players:
"We invited new young players to the national team to replace the injured ones. Some of them were playing in the national team for the first time. There were those who showed themselves in a good way. We can win them over to the team in the future."
The head coach also shared his impressions about the second friendly match against the Belarus national team, which will be held in Minsk on July 1:
"We will analyze the first match and work on our mistakes. It will be important not to repeat them in the second match against Belarus. We will fight for a better result in the second game."
It should be noted that the Azerbaijani national team is currently holding training camp in Minsk, the capital of Belarus. During the preparation period, the team lost the first friendly match against the local national team with a score of 0:3. The parties will face each other again on July 1.
