The Italian national team has officially appointed a new head coach.
According to Idman.Biz, Silvio Baldini, the coach of Italy U21, will lead the senior team in the friendly matches to be held in June.
As part of preparations for the new tournaments, the "Azzurri" will play Luxembourg and Greece. These games will be held on June 3 and 7, respectively.
Baldini's appointment came after the national team's poor performance in the World Cup play-off stage. In the crucial match, Italy lost to Bosnia and Herzegovina on penalties.
After the failure in the qualifying stage, Gennaro Gattuso resigned as head coach of the national team.
