Interview with Shahriyar Aliyev, captain of "Turan Tovuz" to Sportal.az
- What is your condition after the injury? Are you training individually?
- I'm fine now. About 10 percent of the injury in my leg remains. I don't have the pain I used to have. I have started individual training. I have been running in the stadium for a week. It takes time. I am trying to recover completely.
- In general, do you have a chance to play in the remaining part of the season? Or do you want to be ready for the new season?
- It is not fully known. There are 3 rounds left until the end of the championship. That's 2-3 weeks. But I can't even train 100 percent individually. I will join the team after training 100 percent individually. I am going at the pace that the doctor told me. This is 50-60 percent. Time will tell. I would like to help the team.
- You were treated in Turkey for a while. In general, what happened that the return did not take place?
- I received treatment in Turkey for 15-16 days. Although the pain in my muscle subsided, there were problems under my muscle. It's such a thing that blood had accumulated and it was bothering me a lot. I could have had surgery, but I recovered with treatment. 10 percent remains until my treatment is fully recovered. Our doctors don't want to take risks. Perhaps there was a slight mistake in the recovery process after the injury. That's why such a problem occurred.
- You support "Turan Tovuz" off the field, even if you are not on the field. It's probably harder off the field than on the field?
- Even if I'm not on the field, I try to be with my team. It's very difficult to watch from the outside. I really want to help the team. I will help the team after I fully recover.
- "Turan Tovuz" is in 4th place and has not been able to achieve successful results for a long time. What do you attribute this to? Why do you think the team performed so unstably?
- There is a point difference between us and "Araz-Nakhchivan". We will try to get maximum results in the next 3 rounds. "Araz-Nakhchivan" is also fighting for the third place. There is a very hot competition in the Premier League. We lost points in some games. It is true that we have not been able to win in recent games. We also experienced bad luck. We had injured and penalized players. This also affected our game. I think that our injured players will join the team soon and we will continue our fight as always. We had a lot of losses. - To qualify for European Cups, you have to take 4th place and wait for "Qarabağ" to defeat "Sabah" in the cup final. Do you think all this will come true?
- We are not just thinking about 4th place. We are thinking of collecting maximum points in three games. "Araz-Nakhchivan" is 6 points ahead of us. They will take 3rd place with one victory. But we will try to fight till the end. Everyone wants to participate in European Cups. That's why I will support "Qarabağ" in the final to win the cup. Right now, we are thinking about winning and climbing to higher positions. If we take the fourth place, I would like "Qarabağ" to win and we go to the European Cups.
