Sertan Taskin, who wore the uniform of the Azerbaijan national football team, moved from "Sumgayit" to "Serik Belediyespor", which was promoted to the Turkish 1st League during the off-season.
The 27-year-old football player spoke to Idman.biz about the preparation of his new team for the upcoming season.
He says that things are fine in "Serik Belediyespor", and the adaptation process was not difficult: "Most of my teammates are new, the squad is newly assembled. That's why everyone supports each other. Our team is located in the Antalya region. The new season starts this week. We are in a small gathering, preparing for the game. We will leave for Istanbul. We have a game with "Istanbulspor" on August 9th."
Sertan said that he has gained the trust of the team's Russian head coach Sergey Yuran and believes that he will be a member of the main squad: "Since I joined the team a little late, I did not participate in the first training camp. I have been participating in training since the second gathering. The coach's approach to me is good. I have to show myself to play in the main squad. I hope I can get into the first "11"."
It should be noted that Sertan Taskin, who signed a 1-year contract with "Serik Belediyespor", played for "Manisa" in Turkey in 2024.
