In the 27th round of the Misli Premier League, "Sumgayit" lost to "Turan Tovuz" with a score of 1:2.
Idman.Biz reports that the team's head coach, Sasha Ilic, touched upon a number of interesting points at the press conference held after the match.
First of all, the experienced specialist denied the information spread about the conflict between him and defender Danilo Beskorovainyi:
"What is written about my conflict with Danilo is 100 percent "fake". The spread of such fake news is very bad for the club, the player, and me. The reason Danilo didn't play is because he was three days late for training due to document issues."
Commenting on the game, Ilic linked the weak performance in the first minutes to the atmosphere in the stadium:
"We played a bit scared football in the first 15 minutes. Maybe the atmosphere in the stadium affected the players. We conceded goals from our own mistakes. But I am satisfied with the game in the second half, we kept the match under control."
The head coach also expressed his dissatisfaction with the refereeing:
"There are issues with the referees, their mistakes affect the game every time. Today, more extra time could have been added. Such small mistakes affect the result."
Finally, the Serbian specialist, speaking about the danger of falling to lower places, maintained his optimism:
"I don't think about falling out of the Premier League. Of course, anything can happen, there are still six games left. But I don't believe it will happen."
