"After a long search, we settled on these specialists."
Idman.biz reports that Samad Nasibov, director of sports and operations of "Turan Tovuz", said this in his statement to Offsideplus.az, while talking about the new appointments in the club.
A day earlier, 3 appointments were made to the main team of the Tovuz representative. Kazakhstani Aleksandr Kornilov was appointed as a doctor, Italian Marko Kasera as a physical training coach, and his compatriot Vincenzo Cestaroya as an athletic training coach.
Nasibov commented on the appointments: "We were looking for highly qualified people who would be suitable to the club's financial conditions. We are familiar with the work of one of them - Aleksandr Kornilov - because we have worked with him before. The fact that the other two are Italian is purely coincidental. It does not matter to us what country the specialist we will work with is from or what nationality he is. The important thing is his professionalism."
The club official emphasized that cooperation with foreign coaches is not a new experience in "Turan Tovuz": "We had a Spanish coach two years ago. We have worked with foreign coaches before that as well. There is an opinion in the football world that Spanish and Italian physical training coaches are relatively more professional. Because their schools are better. It is true that we were not looking for coaches from these nations in advance, but that is how it turned out in the end. During the championship, we will also involve young coaches from the academy in the work process with these specialists. Foreign experts are here today, gone tomorrow. We want to train professional experts ourselves."
It should be noted that a 1-year contract has been signed with all 3 specialists.
