Ilgar Mansimov, the head coach of "Sabah" U-14 team, shared his impressions about winning the "Qonaev City Cup" international tournament held in Konayev, Kazakhstan.
The specialist spoke about this to "Report".
"The impact of any international tournament on children is very great. This tournament also created very pleasant impressions for the team members. More important for us here than the result was that the children gained game experience abroad and tested themselves in different environments. Participation of young football players in such tournaments, getting to know and communicating with their peers from other countries, and encountering different playing styles play an important role in their development. Of course, the championship is also joyful and valuable in any case," he said.
I. Mansimov emphasized that he was satisfied with the team:
"I was completely satisfied with both the children's behavior and their performance on the field throughout the tournament. They demonstrated both team culture and a professional approach on the field. "Sabah" Football Academy has always supported the participation of lower age groups in international tournaments. Other teams are also expected to participate in various international tournaments in the future."
It should be noted that "Sabah" became the champion by defeating the local "OSDYSH Konayev" team with a score of 9:0 in the final match of the tournament.
