Rufat Abdullazade, who continues his career at the Croatian club "Varazdin", gave an interview to Sportal.az.
- Your team drew 2:2 in the match against "Dinamo" (Zagreb). Do you think this is a normal result, or did you only want to win?
- Of course, taking one point from a match against an opponent like "Dinamo" is not considered a bad result. We were also very close to winning. We wanted it very much. We intended to win three points. But after the last minute goal, we took one point from the match.
- Your performance in this match was quite good. You even made an assist. In general, were you able to realize at least some of what you thought when you entered the field?
- I always try to do my best. When I entered the field, I thought about being useful to the team. I always try to do this.
- How do you think, will you be able to gradually prove yourself in "Varazdin" and gain a permanent place in the main squad? Or do you think that the competition is very high and it is still difficult to do this?
- We have a good team. The competition in the team is also strong. This motivates me even more. I try to prove myself in every training session and in games.
- What is Varazdin's main goal in the league this season?
- Varazdin's main goal is to take one of the good places in the league and fight for the highest possible places. We go to every match for the maximum result.
- How is your life in Croatia, are you used to it?
- My life in Croatia is going well. I'm used to many things now. There are no serious obstacles for me. I have focused my main attention on football.
- What do you think about the level of the Croatian league? Is it very different from the Azerbaijan Premier League?
- Of course, there is a difference. It is also like that in terms of fans. There are enough fans in the stadiums in every game. In matches with "Dinamo", "Hayduk" and "Riyeka", the stadium is almost full. This is an extra motivation for football players. In the Croatian league, the tempo is high in every game, and physical fights are strong and many.
