"The main goal for Shamakhi was to stay in the Premier League, and thank God, we achieved our goal." These words were said by Rufat Abbasov, a football player of "Shamakhi", in his statement to Sport24.az.
Abbasov positively assessed the past season for "Shamakhi":
"I think we showed a good game throughout the season. I would positively assess finishing the championship in 7th place. Since joining Shamakhi, I have appeared in all games. It would not be right for me to evaluate my own game. It would be better if experts talked about it.
I have a one-year contract with Shamakhi. I am now at the U-21 training camp and I have focused all my attention here."
It should be noted that the 20-year-old football player appeared in a total of 37 games for the "lions" in the completed season, scored 1 goal and made 5 assists.
