Idman.Biz reports that this was stated by AFFA President Rovshan Najaf regarding the organization's report on the licensing of clubs.
He emphasized that this process will play a positive role in the development of football and clubs:
"Each UEFA member association has started implementing a licensing system to participate in UEFA club competitions since the 2004-2005 season, and this process plays an important role in the activities of clubs. The licensing system sets the same requirements for clubs participating in UEFA competitions, ensuring equality and impartiality in application. Like in other associations, the licensing process also plays a special role in the development of Azerbaijani club football. The licensing process supports the increase in the number of youth teams within the clubs applying for a license, the improvement of infrastructure level, the improvement of the qualifications of employees and coaches, as well as ensuring a certain stability and sustainability in financial matters. The licensing process is one of the most important factors for clubs.
Clubs should take their responsibilities in this matter seriously and it should be noted that the licensing process plays a special role in the development and stable operation of clubs. By highly appreciating the work done, I would like to state that the correct application of the licensing system will have a positive impact on the development of our football".
