Cristiano Ronaldo, the football player of the Portuguese national team and the Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr, has announced that his most expensive purchase was a plane he bought 13 years ago.
According to Lent.az, citing foreign media, in October, Bloomberg reported that Ronaldo was the first footballer to exceed $1 billion in wealth.
Ronaldo told British journalist Piers Morgan in a YouTube interview: "My most expensive purchase is a plane. I have been using it for 13 years; I upgraded it a year ago. Yes, it's a bit expensive. I have a Global Express model."
Ronaldo is a five-time Ballon d'Or winner, a five-time Champions League winner, a European champion and the all-time top scorer in world football. Before moving to Al-Nassr, Ronaldo played for Sporting (Portugal), Manchester United (England), Real Madrid (Spain) and Juventus (Italy).
