"Our preparation for the next season continues according to plan. We try to fulfill the tasks given by the coaches. We will be ready for the first game of the championship, God willing." These words were said by Sumgayit footballer Rauf Rustamli in his statement to Sport24.az.
The midfielder, who belongs to Sabah by contract, spoke about the goals of Sumgayit, where he moved on loan this summer, for the new season:
"I get a chance in friendly games and I try to show myself in a good way in these games. We have conversations with our head coach Sacha Ilic. He explains my mistakes, what I do right and wrong, in detail. I try to fulfill what he says. In the 2025/26 "football year", "Sumgayit" will fight for high places. We will do everything as a team for this. We want to please our fans by winning successful results with a beautiful game."
It should be noted that Rauf Rustamli, a graduate of Gabala, has worn the colors of Sabah and Shamakhi during his career.
