"The head coach of "Sabah", appointed today, will bring new players with him. It takes time for these players to understand each other. It will be difficult for "Sabah" in the European Cups."
Former president of the Professional Football League (PFL) Ramin Musayev said this in his statement to Sport24.az.
The former functionary announced his expectations from the games of "Zira" and "Araz-Nakhchivan" in the Conference League:
"It will be difficult for "Sabah" in the European Cups. Although "Zira"'s opponent "Hayduk" is strong, I think "Zira" and "Araz-Nakhchivan" will be able to compete. A lot depends on transfers. I believe in Elmar Bakhshiyev so much... I think they will show a beautiful game. We have been watching him since he worked in "Gabala", he has potential as a head coach."
He also shared his expectations for the next season in the Misli Premier League:
"The abolition of the legionnaire limit will be difficult for local players. They will have to work hard to get into the squad. Most of all, it will affect the national team. Those who made the decision thought about the teams, not the national team. How can a player perform if he has no game practice? I guess they know better because they are working now. As a person who has dedicated 19 years of my life to football, I do not see a good result for the national team. A football player can get injured at any time. We can't do anything with one striker. It is unprofessional to make such a decision when the level of the national team is low."
It should be noted that the matches of the II qualifying round of the UEFA Conference League will be held on July 24 and 31.
