"We prepare seriously for every game." These words were said by "Sabah" football player Rahman Dashdemirov to Sport24.az.
The 25-year-old defender shared his thoughts on the match in the last - 36th round of the Misli Premier League, in which they defeated "Neftchi" at home:
"Matches against this opponent are always difficult. This time was no exception. We were outnumbered during the match. Nevertheless, we managed to score a goal. However, in the second half, the number of players on the field became equal. Although we had several opportunities, we only managed to take advantage of one. It is nice to end the season with a victory in front of our fans in the championship."
He also spoke about the final match of the Azerbaijan Cup against "Qarabag", which they will hold on May 31:
"As a team, we are already focused on this match. An important match against a very strong opponent awaits us. The team must give its maximum on the field to win the cup. I believe that the fans will also witness a game worthy of the final."
It should be noted that the final match of the national cup will be held on May 31 at the Sumgayit city stadium named after Mehdi Huseynzade. "Qarabag" and "Sabah" will face each other in the decisive match.
