Eintracht Frankfurt, Qarabağ's opponent in the Champions League, is preparing to add a player from the English Premier League to its squad.
Idman.biz reports with reference to Sky Sport that the German club has again brought up the transfer of Newcastle United's 22-year-old striker, William Osola.
The Frankfurt representative offered to rent the Danish forward for 5 million euros on the last day of the summer transfer window and the opportunity to buy all the rights to the player for 25 million euros in the future. However, Newcastle rejected the offer.
Now Eintracht intends to resume negotiations in January and strengthen the attacking line. Osola and Jonathan Burkard's tandem will play a key role in the club's plan. It is reported that Osola has already agreed on the terms of a personal contract with the Frankfurt representative.
He was transferred from Sheffield United to Newcastle for 11 million euros in the summer of 2024. Osola, who has played nine games in all tournaments this season, has scored three goals - two of them against Bradford in the League Cup and one against Liverpool in the Premier League.
Last weekend, Eintracht lost 0:3 to Bavaria and is seventh in the Bundesliga with nine points after six rounds.
