It is not only Aghdam club itself that will benefit from "Qarabag"'s qualification for the League stage of the UEFA Champions League.
Idman.biz reports with reference to GOL.az that the continent's supreme football body will provide financial assistance to other teams from the countries represented by the clubs that have reached the main stage of the Champions League for the purpose of solidarity.
Specifically, as for Azerbaijan, it is expected that each of the 11 clubs (excluding "Qarabag") out of 12 clubs competing in the Misli Premier League will be paid a total of 800 thousand euros. The aid will be transferred to the clubs' accounts in two stages: first 550 thousand, then 250 thousand euros (1 million 579 thousand manats at today's exchange rate). However, this amount may not be final.
The thing is that if "Qarabag" performs successfully in the main stage of the Champions League, the reward for those clubs may increase even more.
As for Aghdam club itself, "Qarabag" has already secured 18 million 620 thousand euros just for reaching the League stage of the Champions League. Additional bonuses are also expected to be paid by UEFA for participation in the qualifying stage. In the League stage, a reward of 2 million 100 thousand euros is provided for a victory, and 700 thousand euros for a draw.
