"Qarabag" club may include 4 young footballers from the Academy in the application for the UEFA Champions League.
Idman.biz reports that Nail Karimov, the manager of the Aghdam representative's academy, told Telegraf about this.
He spoke about the plans for midfielders Hikmat Jabrayilzade and Mehdi Mutallimli, defenders Amin Rzayev and Habib Gadimov, who went to Austria with the team.
Karimov announced that if the aforementioned football players prove themselves, they will have a chance to appear in the upcoming European Cup matches: "The biggest chance for football players is to participate in this training camp. The team's coaching staff has created that environment: trusting the potential of the football players, they included them in the squad and took them to the training camp with them. Now, it depends on how they show themselves. We believe that whichever player shows himself better will stay in the team. In this case, they can participate in European Cup matches."
According to the academy official, the youngsters have been participating in the main team's training sessions for a long time: "Amin Rzayev and Hikmat Jabrayilzade have already made their debut in the Premier League. They are also invited to the national team consisting of football players under 21 years old. During the past season, the football players regularly joined Qarabag's training sessions. They both played their games in their age group and participated in training sessions with the main team. Towards the end of the season, they joined these training sessions more frequently. They also participated in the training camp held in Baku. At that time, Davud Masimov, born in 2006, also participated in the training sessions. However, Davud could not go to Austria due to injury. He needs to do recovery exercises for a while."
It should be noted that "Qarabag" will hold a training camp in the Kaprun region of Zell-Am-See from July 16. The Aghdam representative will hold test matches against Ukrainian "Metallist" (Kharkiv) on July 7, Dutch "Twente" on July 11 (two meetings on the same day), and Austrian "Salzburg" on July 15. "Köhlən atlar" will face the winner of the pair "Shelburn" (Ireland) - "Linfield" (Northern Ireland) in the II qualifying round of the Champions League.
