The Spanish press, touching upon "Qarabag"'s second consecutive victory in the Champions League, has called the match to be held on October 22 at the "San Mames" stadium a serious test for "Athletic" (Bilbao).
Idman.biz reports that the local DEIA publication published an article entitled "Qarabag" warns "Athletic" and emphasized that the Azerbaijani club comes to Bilbao after a confident 2:0 victory over "Copenhagen".
The publication notes that "Qarabag" proved that the victory against "Benfica" was not accidental, and the team has the potential to achieve high results against strong European rivals as well.
In turn, Diario AS writes that against the background of Aghdam's representative's victories in the first two rounds, "Qarabag" takes the top places in the tournament table in the new stage system of the Champions League. The newspaper emphasizes that according to the results of two rounds, the team entered the first "8", while "Athletic" is still outside the play-off zone.
It should be noted that "Athletic" has not been able to score points after two rounds and is in 34th place in the tournament table. The Bilbao representative lost to Dortmund's "Borussia" 1:4 in the second round, and lost to London's "Arsenal" 0:2 in the first round.
