Professional Activities of the Professional Football League

The Professional Football League (PFL) is the organization that holds the Azerbaijan Premier League, the cup competition, the 1st and 2nd leagues, and the reserve championship. That is, this organization is currently responsible for holding exactly 5 tournaments. 

Usually, the organization of the institution in these competitions has been positively evaluated by both the media and the clubs. But it should also be noted that the PFL's high organization for many years does not attract much attention. It's not without reason. Because the institution has taken a kind of modest stance, preferring to stay in the shadows. Most fans are unaware of this. Because, in most cases, eyes are focused on the game, the teams, the performance of the players, in a word, what is happening on the field. However, there is also the organization of these games - preparation before matches, security, conditions for the media, taking into account the wishes of fans, and immediate intervention to solve other expected and unexpected problems, which the PFL has been doing well for a long time with limited conditions and a team, and produces quality work.

We witnessed this most recently a few days ago in an important match between the "Shafa" and "Shahdag Gusar" teams in the Azerbaijan 2nd League. Although there were no goals in the match watched by an unprecedented number of fans for the 2nd league (4500 people), this meeting was memorable for both fans, teams, and media representatives with positive aspects. The PFL team showed itself from an organizational point of view this time as well, and the meeting was held in accordance with high standards in all respects. Of course, the work done is not only the official duty of this institution, but also the high professionalism in approaching the lower league match should be applauded.

Holding five different tournaments professionally is not an easy task. I should also note that the PFL's current budget for holding these leagues is also very small. Of course, there are shortcomings and they are inevitable. However, we see that exemplary works can cover up minor shortcomings. Because there is a passion and love for the work. If all our people working in the football field had this love, we would be witnessing a very different picture now.  

You may say that the name of the institution already starts with "Professional". But we have so many people who work amateurishly under the name of professional...
