Fuad Najafli, the authorized representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, met with the athletes and coaching staff of the "Araz-Nakhchivan" professional football club.

Najafli stated that the team's achievements in recent years, its professionalism and dedication, have opened a proud page in the sports life of the autonomous republic.
The authorized representative, providing information about the projects implemented within the framework of the "State Program for the Socio-Economic Development of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic for 2023-2027", as well as the new master plan of the city of Nakhchivan, noted that Nakhchivan will completely change in a few years: "The existing stadium will be rebuilt and a new sports complex will be built so that our representative can hold home games on the home field. The new project will include the most modern sports infrastructure for football players, as well as high living conditions for athletes' families. After these projects are implemented, every player of "Araz-Nakhchivan" will fight for the success of our team on the home field."
Zaur Akhundov, President of the Nakhchivan Football Federation, thanked the football players for the sincere meeting and support, and said that they will continue to work hard for the development of Nakhchivan football.
Football players Felipe Santos and Qara Garayev emphasized that the meeting gave the team a high spirit and motivation. Team members noted that Nakhchivan football, which was separated from the country's top league for many years, ended this longing in a short time with great success. Holding home games in front of local fans is important for the team's development. The football players expressed their belief that this problem will be eliminated soon and said that they are looking forward to fighting in front of many fans.
