Former Barcelona center-back Gerard Pique discussed the 2017 Spanish Super Cup match with former Real Madrid player Marcelo.
Idman.Biz reminds that at that time, Real defeated Barcelona 5-1 on aggregate over two games.
In the first match, former Real Madrid striker Cristiano Ronaldo received a red card. The Portuguese was warned in the 80th minute for taking off his shirt after scoring a goal. Two minutes later, Ronaldo was sent off for simulation after falling in the penalty area. The striker then pushed the referee and later received a 5-match ban.
Marcelo noted that Cristiano was clearly penalized. He received a yellow card and was later sent off for pushing the referee.
Pique corrected Marcelo's words: "He was given a yellow card for pushing the referee, although it should have been a red. He even started complaining. It was clearly a red card, amazing! They complain when they can't cheat - it's in Real Madrid's DNA".
