An interview with AZERTAC by Peritan Bozdağ, a member of the Azerbaijan national team of female football players who transferred to the Turkish team "Fenerbahçe".
- What can you say about your transfer to "Fenerbahçe"?
- I feel very happy. It is an honor to transfer to such a club.
- When did you receive the offer from the Istanbul representative?
- This issue came up at the last training camp with the national team. We already had negotiations. It didn't take me long to make a decision.
- What does it mean for you to transfer to one of the biggest clubs in Turkey?
- Transferring to the biggest sports club in Turkey is a great event for me. From a psychological point of view, "Fenerbahçe" is a team that always fights for leadership and plays to win. This situation can also affect me positively. I think I feel the same as the club and I am sure that this unity will help me a lot, and it will also have a positive impact on my future life.
- What will be the club's goals for the new season?
- "Fenerbahçe" is a club that plays for the championship. I hope I will also contribute to this path. We will do our best to achieve the team's goals.
- What are the differences between women's football in Azerbaijan and Turkey?
- Football players of the Azerbaijani national team play in Turkish clubs. We just expect a lot of support from the people and the federation. This support is important so that more girls can play in big clubs like us. I also want to say that women can do anything after they have enough support.
- What would you like to say to Azerbaijani fans?
- I want to say to the fans there that if women's football is supported to the same extent as men's football, the results will be more successful and impressive. I appeal to all the girls in Azerbaijan - if you work hard, are disciplined and work hard, you can make your dreams come true. Never lose hope.
