"Away games against "Shamakhi" are always difficult. It had been almost 3 years since we were able to win away". These words were said to Sport24.az by "Sabah" football player Pavol Šafranko.
The 30-year-old striker first shared his thoughts on the Misli Premier League II round game in which they won away against "Shamakhi" (2:1).
"It was very important for us to start the championship with 3 points. We went on the road with this goal. It was not an easy game. We started the match well, but although the opponent equalized later, we showed character and were able to score the winning goal. We won the 3 points that were important to us. That's what matters".
The forward also touched on the third round match they will play against "Imishli" today:
"We have already forgotten the previous game and are focused on the next match. Every game in the championship is difficult and you have to put your maximum on the field to win. We have to prepare very seriously to win the match against "Imishli". To achieve our goals in the championship, we have to go to every game for 3 points".
It should be noted that the "Sabah" - "Imishli" match, which will take place today, will start at 19:30.
