- What was the reason for not continuing your career at "Qarabag"?
- It turned out that way. Of course, it is always difficult to leave a place where you have stayed for a long time. Football is like that, all football players understand this.
- How did it happen that the offer of "Araz-Nakhchivan" attracted you: Did you think you were taking a risk when taking this step?
- I spoke with Qara Garayev, who was my teammate at "Qarabag". He told me how the club works, what kind of people are there, and what kind of person the head coach Elmar Bakhshiyev is. This also influenced my decision. If I hadn't taken the risk, I would never know what the result would be. I think I made the right decision.
- You also left the "chestnut horses" in 2022 and returned a year later. Which of your two separations was more difficult to compare? Do you think that changing clubs, as with some football players, will create distrust among the fans towards you?
- My first separation was more difficult. I don't think so. Fans understand that this is football. Of course, it is not easy to leave a place where you have felt happy for a long time. What can be done? That's life.
- You have UEFA Champions League, Europa League and Conference League experience in "Qarabag". What is the difference for you to go to the Conference League with "Araz-Nakhchivan"?
- Nothing changes for me. Because I have also played in the Conference League. There are also good football players and big teams there. Therefore, I don't think this is a difficulty for me. We are starting to get to know each other step by step with my current teammates.
- What are the differences in your new team compared to "Qarabag"?
- Everything is different. In "Araz-Nakhchivan", my teammates, the new way of working is in a different form. That's how football is.
- How do you assess your period in "Qarabag" in your career?
- Every club I played in has its own role in my career reaching this level. Some are remembered for their positive aspects, some for their negative aspects. My "Qarabag" period was positive. I was happy there and I will continue to be happy in my new team. I never thought I would play in the Champions League. But God gave me the opportunity to play in the qualifying and play-off stages of the tournament. I am grateful for that.
- What was your most memorable game and unforgettable goal in "Qarabag"?
- In the 2020/2021 season, we won 3:0 in the away game against Polish "Legia", where we qualified for the UEFA Europa League, and I was the author of one goal and one assist. I will never forget that match. Overall, this game remains completely different in my memory.
- Did you have any unfulfilled dreams in "Qarabag", any disappointment that the club did not offer a new contract?
- I fulfilled all my dreams there. There is no regret or resentment. As I said, this is football. I grew up there as both a football player and a person. I won cups, which is the most important thing. I was happy and I will continue to be happy.
- What mistake in your career do you still regret?
- I don't regret anything. I only have good memories there. That's more important.
- Information was spread that you received offers from foreign clubs, even "Neftchi" was on the list. Why "Araz-Nakhchivan" specifically?
- Yes, some teams have contacted me. But I'm not giving specific names. I'm used to Azerbaijan, I know everything here. I have good friends, I love the city and that's why I decided to stay here. As I mentioned above, the offer of "Araz-Nakhchivan" attracted me and I came here.
- Your former club "Partizan" has filed a complaint with the Court of Arbitration for Sport regarding you. The club is facing a transfer ban because it owes you money. Will you respond to Partizan's complaint or will you go for an agreement?
- I'm not talking about them. So excuse me, I will not answer this question.
- As a football player, what are your main goals in "Araz-Nakhchivan" and how do you assess your chances against "Aris"?
- We want to have a good season. We are just focused on ourselves. We have 23 days to put on a good game against them.
