Former England international Michael Owen has called Liverpool fans hypocritical while discussing the transfer of Swedish forward Alexander Isak to the club.
Idman.biz reports that Owen noted that the "Reds" fans were unhappy with defender Trent Alexander-Arnold leaving the club and moving to Real Madrid, but positively welcomed Isak's desire to leave Newcastle quickly.
"It's naive to be upset when a player leaves your club if the same thing happens elsewhere. Of course, Newcastle fans were upset that Isak left. But remember the Liverpool fans who were upset when Trent left.
The club bought Isak and the Liverpool fans are happy, even though the Newcastle fans have lost someone they liked. That's football. I don't like this kind of hypocrisy," Owen said.
