The Azerbaijan national U-17 football team has continued its losing streak in the qualifying round of the 2026 European Championship.
According to Idman.Biz, in the third round of the 9th group held in France, the Azerbaijanis lost to Romania with a score of 1:5. Bashirov scored the team's only goal in the 20th minute, but the opponent responded with five goals.
Azerbaijan previously lost to France (0:8) and Israel (1:5) and remained without points after three games. France leads the tournament table with 7 points, Romania (5) and Israel (4) are third. All group matches are held in France.

Idman.Biz reports that our national team, which is in the ninth group, will face the Romanian team of the corresponding age group in its last match.
The match, which will be held at the "Bourret" stadium in Capbreton, France, will start at 17:00 Baku time. The match will be officiated by a team of referees from Croatia and France.
