Interview with Georgian midfielder of "Kapaz" Otar Aptsiauri for Futbolinfo.az
- You are one of the new transfers of "Kapaz". How is the adaptation process going? Have you fully adapted to the team?
- First of all, I want to thank the club management and coaching staff for the trust they have placed in me. People here have a great love for football. I encountered a very good environment, which made me happy. There is a family atmosphere here, so adaptation was not difficult for me.
- What information did you have about "Kapaz" and Azerbaijani football before coming to our country?
- My friends have played in this club. Therefore, I knew that "Kapaz" has great fans and is a very good club. But what I saw here exceeded my expectations, which puts a great responsibility on me. As for Azerbaijani football, I know that you have a very good championship and it is developing every year. This is also an important factor for me.
- Who are the friends who played for "Kapaz" before you?
- I mean Mate Kvirkviya and Rati Ardazishvili. I have known both of them for a long time. Before coming to "Kapaz", I talked and consulted with both of them.
"Kapaz", which played to stay in the championship last season, is expected to increase its ambitions in the new season. Can the team cope with this?
Time will tell. I can only say one thing, there is a great atmosphere in the team, our unity is strong and no football player spares anything. Everyone is ready to put all their skills to the success of the team.
- Are you planning to stay in Azerbaijan for a long time? Do you think you can have your say here?
- Yes, this is the beginning of a new stage in my life. I am sure that I will have my say and make the "Kapaz" fans happy. I feel a great responsibility. Let the fans know that I will do my best for the team to succeed.
- Although the Georgian national team is currently stronger than the Azerbaijani national team, Georgian clubs lag behind Azerbaijani clubs. What do you see as the reason for this?
- I think many factors play a role in this issue. Unfortunately, there is currently a stability problem in many clubs in Georgia. This is also the reason why our clubs lag behind Azerbaijani clubs.
