Idman.biz reports that this was stated by Orkhan Mammadov, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of "Zira" club, in his statement to journalists.
He stated that the 2024/2025 season in the Azerbaijan Premier League was successful for the Baku representative: "We would very much like to play in the Europa League, but fighting in the Conference League will also be a success for us. Overall, we consider this season successful for Zira. This is the second time we have finished second in the Premier League. This is a great achievement. I thank the coaching staff and the players for this."
Mammadov also shared his thoughts on the final of the Azerbaijan Cup: "I plan to watch the game. Of course, the strongest will win. I will support beautiful football."
It should be noted that in the final game of the Azerbaijan Cup, which will be held on May 31, "Qarabag" will face "Sabah". If the Baku representative wins, they will go to the Europa League. Otherwise, "Zira" will go to the continent's second-tier club tournament.
