The management of "Araz-Nakhchivan" club has started organizational negotiations with the representatives of "Aris" (Greece), their opponent in the second qualifying round of the UEFA Conference League.
Eldaniz Yusubov, the executive director of the Nakhchivan representative, told "Report" about this.
He said that introductory talks were held first:
"Immediately after the draw, we contacted the representatives of the opposing team. There were introductory, preliminary talks. Correspondence about requirements has begun. Of course, there is no difficult process related to organization. But every detail will be agreed between the parties. The information is still being clarified. We had initial talks about the stadium, the club's facilities, the city where they are located, visa, transportation and logistics issues, the team's reception and departure. One of the most serious issues will be related to security. We will make demands. They may also make certain conditions".
The club official said that they know "Aris":
"We will face a very serious and quite strong opponent. We know the team. Some information has already been obtained. The coaching staff is also analyzing the information. We know that the opponent is making transfers. They have a strong squad. This is also clear from their results in the championship. They mainly use Spanish legionnaires. If I am not mistaken, they have about 8 foreign players. They have attracted football players from Brazil and other countries. There are football players who are affiliated with quite serious clubs. But this is preliminary information. The information will be investigated by us".
E. Yusubov emphasized that work is continuing to strengthen the staff:
"Although the team is participating in the European Cups for the first time, many of the players are not inexperienced. There are those with experience in the Europa League, as well as our new transfers. Work is being done to strengthen the staff. I would not say inexperience, the team's preparation and the level of the players play a role in such games. Our main advantage is that we have been able to keep 70-80% of last year's squad. By adding new players, we will further strengthen the squad".
It should be noted that the matches of the second qualifying round of the UEFA Conference League will be held on July 24 and 31. "Araz-Nakhchivan" will play the first match at home and the return match away.
