A total of 35 suspects were detained within the scope of the match-fixing and betting investigation carried out by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.

As a result of the investigation, it was revealed that 27 players, including Galatasaray player Metehan Baltacı, bet on matches involving their own teams.
In the investigation materials, it was determined that Fenerbahçe player Mert Hakan Yandaş placed bets on legal betting sites through an account opened in another person's name.
Suspicion of "influencing the outcome of the game" has been formed regarding five people in connection with the Ankaraspor - Nazilli match. Regarding the Ümraniyespor - Giresunspor match, it is claimed that there was a match-fixing agreement, and six people have been identified in this episode.
Within the scope of the investigation, former Adana Demirspor President Murat Sancak, former referee Ahmet Çakar, referee Zorbay Küçük and his wife were also detained on the basis of "suspicious financial transactions."
