Athletic Bilbao footballer Nico Williams may miss the UEFA Champions League main stage game against Qarabag.
"Report" reports, citing the official website of the Bilbao representative, that the 23-year-old winger was injured in the Spanish national team camp.
A muscle problem was detected after the World Cup 2026 qualifying matches against Bulgaria (3:0) and Turkey (6:0).
The "Marca" publication wrote that the player may be out for approximately 6 weeks. The length of Williams' return to the green fields will depend on the progress of his recovery.
It should be noted that Qarabag will face Athletic in Spain on October 22.
