Newcastle United striker Niclas Füllkrug will miss Germany's World Cup qualifying matches in October after contracting the flu.
İdman.biz reports that the national team's press service has released information about this.
"Niclas Füllkrug will not be able to join the team as he has contracted the flu," the statement said.
The 23-year-old Füllkrug moved from Stuttgart to Newcastle United last summer for 85 million + 5 million euros.
This season, the forward has played 10 games in all competitions, scoring 5 goals. Füllkrug has made four appearances for the German national team and has not scored any goals.
On October 10, the German national team, coached by Julian Nagelsmann, will host Luxembourg in the qualifying round of the 2026 World Cup, and on October 13, they will travel to Northern Ireland.
