Neymar, the star of the Brazilian national team and world football, has officially confirmed his plan to build his own city in his country.
İdman.Biz reports that the football player spoke about this in an interview.
"I miss Saudi Arabia - for the standard of living there, the restaurants and everything in general. I am working on building a smart city in Brazil. I also intend to create one in Saudi Arabia. I will name it after myself," said Neymar.
According to CPG, construction of the project has already started and the process is being carried out by a company owned by the football player's father.
The giant resort city will cover an area of 100 kilometers along the Atlantic coast. The project will cover the states of Alagoas and Pernambuco in northeastern Brazil.
The project will include 28 luxury residential complexes, hotels and sports complexes, beaches and elite recreation areas.
The total cost of the project is approximately US$1.43 billion (approximately AZN 2.43 billion). According to plans, all construction work should be completed by 2037.
Thus, Neymar is preparing to sign an ambitious project not only on the football field, but also in the field of urban planning.
