England's "Newcastle" club has advised fans to be attentive to Azerbaijani culture before the match with "Qarabag", which will be held in Baku as part of the UEFA Champions League play-off stage.
"Report" informs that the club's official website has released information about this.
The information reflects the rules of travel, safety and conduct that are important for fans:
"Those traveling to Azerbaijan must have a valid passport and obtain a visa in advance. It is necessary to allocate one week for the visa process and obtain travel insurance. The official currency of the country is manat. Cards and contactless payments are widely used in Baku, and ATMs are also available. It is possible to get from the airport to the city center by taxi or direct bus service. The metro operates from 06:00 in the morning to 00:00 at night and a card is required for use".
"Newcastle" fans are asked to use the "Ganjlik" metro station and head to Gate B of the stadium:
"Checks will be carried out by stewards and police at the entrance, and military personnel will be present in the stadium area. Bags larger than A4 size, umbrellas, as well as pyrotechnic devices and vuvuzelas will not be allowed into the stadium. Flags should not be larger than 1.5m x 2m and should not contain political slogans. Snacks and drinks (including beer) will be sold inside the stadium. It is forbidden to bring alcoholic beverages from outside".
It was recommended that the month of Ramadan will begin and fasting will start from February 18, and that English fans should respect this, as well as the local culture. A warning was also issued to pay special attention to behavior in historical and important places such as the Alley of Martyrs and not to disrespect them.
It was reported that after the match, "Newcastle" fans will be kept in the stands for 30 minutes for security reasons.
It should be noted that the "Qarabag" - "Newcastle" match will start on February 18 at 21:45 at the Tofig Bahramov Republican Stadium.
