The neglected stadium in Sumgait, which has caused dissatisfaction among local residents, will be repaired.
The stadium near school number 27 in Sumgait is currently unattended and unusable.
The Absheron-Khizi Regional Education Department told sumqayit24.az that strengthening the material and technical base of general education institutions operating under the agency, improving backyard areas and improving sports infrastructure are among the priority areas.
"The issue regarding the current state of the stadium located near Sumgait city secondary school No. 27 has been investigated. We note that the issue of repairing both the school building and the backyard area, including the stadium, has been included in the repair plan. It is planned to carry out the relevant work on a priority basis," the agency said in a statement.
