"Neftchi", which added Sessi D'Almeida from the Cypriot club "Apollon" to its squad, wants another player from this team.
Idman.biz reports with reference to Futbolinfo.az that the "black and whites" have started negotiations with the team's French midfielder Charles Boly.
The parties have already reached a preliminary agreement. The 26-year-old player, originally from Ivory Coast, should arrive in Baku soon.
Charles Boly was born in Scotland. But he started his football career in France. The player, who grew up in the "Lans" football academy, later appeared in the main team of this club. Here he played only 14 games. In 2021, he was loaned to the "Paris" club, which plays in Liga 2. He spent the second half of the 2021/2022 season in "Vicenza", then returned to France. Here he played for the "Pau" club for two seasons, appearing in 54 matches and scoring 4 times against the opponent's goal. In 2024, Boly was transferred to "Apollon". Here he appeared in 19 matches and managed to distinguish himself once.
It seems that "Neftchi", which wants to be ambitious, is looking for happiness in the Cypriot market. And it seems that they intend to move the Limassol club to Baku. Because the Baku club has already made one transfer from there, and negotiations are underway with another Apollon player, Giorgios Malekkidis. Charles is 3rd on the list.
