"Neftchi" has officially announced its first departure during the winter break.
Idman.Biz reports with reference to futbolinfo.az that the club has officially parted ways with Brazilian right winger Aleks Fernandes.
The 23-year-old footballer, although brought in on loan from the Russian club "Baltika" to the Baku team, was not included in the application for participation submitted for the season. The appointment of Yuri Vernidub as the new head coach did not change this decision.
As a result, Aleks Fernandes, whose loan period expired, returned to "Baltika". However, "Baltika" had agreed to transfer the attacking midfielder, who has a contract until the summer of 2027, to "Neftchi" for a symbolic amount. However, since the Brazilian footballer could not be useful for the team for a year, there was no need for his full transfer.
