Aliyev, who was born on February 10, 1956 in Ganja, was invited to "Neftchi" after playing for some time in his hometown club "Taraggi". In 1973, in the debut match against "Inshaatchi" (Ashgabat) club in the first league of the USSR championship, he scored a goal and gave our team a 1:0 victory. The striker, who scored 2 goals in 7 games he played in that season, became one of the main squad members from the next season.
In total, he appeared in 258 games in 12 seasons he spent in the "white-blacks" team and scored 43 goals.
After leaving "Neftchi" in 1985, he defended the honor of "Kapaz" for 6 years and finished his career in "Goyazan" in 1990.
Asif Aliyev, who started coaching later, was the assistant coach of head coaches Kazbek Tuaev, Ruslan Abdullayev and Ahmad Alaskarov in 1995-2000, and in 1996, 1998, 1999 he served as the head coach of our team.
Aydin Alakbarov, who was born in 1966, defended the honor of "Neftchi" for 5 seasons - 1993-1997. During this period, the defender, who appeared in 130 official matches, won the Azerbaijan Championship with "Flagman" in 1996 and 1997, and the National Cup in 1995 and 1996.
