A Muslim football league has been created in Moscow.
The "Umma League" was established to unite various teams and tournaments of Muslim spiritual administrations in Moscow into a single religious project format. We have created a Muslim football league for the Russian capital.
It is important that all participants adhere to the rules of the league, such as a special dress code (showing certain parts of the body is prohibited – ed.). Swearing is also prohibited - for this, the player will receive a warning or a disqualification for several games," said the head of the league, Rinat Kayumov.
Kayumov clarified that the official registration process of the organization, which currently includes 14 teams, is underway. Along with Muslims, representatives of other religions are also present in the league. Only amateurs participate in the project. Professional football players are not allowed to participate in games, but they can participate as guests, consultants or coaches.
The head of the league also said that professional Muslim football players from teams participating in the Russian championship have also supported the project.
