Qarabag's footballer Musa Gurbanli answered journalists' questions after the match of the XIII round of the Misli Premier League, in which they defeated Karvan-Yevlakh.
Sport24.az presents the interview...
- How was the match for you?
- Of course, it was not an easy game, you saw it yourself. The main thing is that we won three points. Victory was important for us. The opponent defended very well and compactly. Their whole idea was to defend. In that sense, it was difficult to build attacks and create dangerous episodes. Because they didn't give gaps. But in the end, we scored the necessary goals and won.
- You couldn't score in the first half. Was your inability to pass the opponent's defense line due to their good defense, or did the fact that Qarabag's leading players were on the reserve bench play a role?
- I would say that the opponent defended compactly.
- You will play three games in a short schedule, because you will play a cup match, then a league match and then a Champions League match. Do you think the squad is sufficient for a tight schedule?
- Yes, I think it's enough. We have enough players. True, in any case, there will be difficulties and fatigue. This is also normal. But we are all here doing our best for our team. No matter how many players there are, whoever comes on the field, we all give our lives for our team here. I think it will be enough. Even if it's difficult, let's solve it and fulfill this task.
- Qarabag has 7 points in the Champions League, while Ajax has no points. Do you consider this an advantage for your team?
- It's not a very good idea to talk about any advantage against such teams in such tournaments. We already see the opponents, they are world-class teams. We are playing in the Champions League. We will prepare seriously for each match and fight for the maximum points. We will play until the end.
- How do you rate your chances in the play-offs?
- Of course, we have a certain chance. We will try to use this chance. We will do our best to get good results.
- How many points can you score from three games against Ajax, Eintracht and Liverpool?
- Well, I haven't sat down and calculated. We will try our best, we will score as many points as we can. I hope everything goes well.
