Murad Musayev, who returned to the green field in the Premier League again after a year's break, evaluated his performance in the first game.
Idman.biz reports that the experienced football player commented on the team's game, the match with "Karvan-Yevlakh" and the own goal episode in his statement to Futbolinfo.az.
The captain of "Gabala" evaluated the team's first game: "It was a special feeling to come out on the field after a long break. Frankly, after not playing for so long, I was very curious to see what would happen. But I think it wasn't bad. In general, the team's performance was good. We showed interesting, dynamic and entertaining football. I was satisfied both in terms of fighting and in terms of the approach to the game. Of course, there are shortcomings, but it was satisfactory for the first game. We had enough goal opportunities in the meeting with "Karvan-Yevlakh". Unfortunately, we could not take advantage of our chances. If we had used the opportunities, the score could have been 4:0. It was expected that the game would be difficult, because the opponent was very eager and motivated. To be fair, we both gained 1 point and lost 2 points in this game. We had the power to win, but we just couldn't put the final point."
The 31-year-old defender also shared his thoughts on the own goal he scored in the opening match: "An own goal is something that can always happen in football. It was an episode where I couldn't do anything. The ball came at me unexpectedly and hit me. Of course, I was very upset because it was an important moment for the team. But a football player's job is to learn from his mistakes and come back stronger. I will also try to be more careful in future games. Our main goal is to give our best in every game, to fight, to protect our position and to make the fans who support us happy. For this, we have to work hard and suffer. I believe that with God's help everything will be fine."
